Individual Gifts – Pledge a one-time gift or set up recurring monthly or quarterly payments. Ask your employer if they have a matching program for great causes. Some companies match dollar for dollar, which would double your donation!

Congregational Gifts – Ask your congregation to invest in the transformation of a Horizon participant. Set up a special giving campaign or bring it up at a regular gathering. Consider involving the youth in your congregation to teach them about love, repentance, and forgiveness.

Group Gifts – Ask your book club, golf group, investment club, civic organization, or online gaming friends to contribute as a group. If 10 friends give $160, or 20 friends give $80, you will change a life.

Corporate Giving – Whether your company is a natural fit as a Horizon sponsor or you simply believe in our cause, we want to connect with you.

Volunteer

As a volunteer, you will meet with HPI participants within the prison facility. It is important for HPI to take special care that the volunteers and the participants are protected. Volunteers will undergo a background screening and will enter the prison through a security check each week, as any visitor would.

Please note that Horizon honors people from all faith traditions. Our work is not to convert participants to a specific religion. Our work is to show honor, respect, and dignity to each and every human being.

We typically seek volunteers in the spring for programs that begin in the fall. Once the paperwork is completed, we hold several training sessions to help you understand the program, your roles, and your boundaries.

It takes commitment and strength to volunteer with HPI, but what you receive in return is tenfold. This is a powerful, fulfilling program.
